Ethans Grandma (my mum) wrote this one night she was babysitting... I love it, Thanks Mum

Our little darling is sleeping. Stretched out on his side with head tilted back and one arm flung casually across the teddy bear, he sleeps without a care.
How beautiful is a sleeping child.
I stand by the cot watching him breathe. His little chest rises and gently falls. Then ever more slowly as he sinks deeper into slumber.
How beautiful is a sleeping child.
It seems like just the other day that we watched him sleeping in hospital, exhausted from his journey into life. We marveled at his perfection and strained to recognize whose characteristics his little face portrayed.
How beautiful is a sleeping child.
Looking through the eyes of love, my heart expands. There is no limit to the joy I feel in being the grandmother of this precious child.

Happy Birthday our little sweetheart

My babys one.....

Gosh, I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. Ethan turned one on Saturday, and to celebrate we took him to the pools. He loved it and ended up swimming for over and hour and a half. He liked playing with the bubbles in the spa pool and laughed at getting pushed around by the wave in the wave pool. My friend Biddy and I stayed up on Friday night decorating his birthday cake and were so please with how it turned out. (See photos)
Last month John and I ran a 4wdrive training day for the Landrover club. We only found out at the start of the month that we were doing this, so it was a bit crazey for a bit with organising that. However the day went really well, we had about 45-50 trucks turn up and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. So that was great.
We also helped the scouts out on the Leys tramping competion (weekend prior to our training day), We were manning a base (tyre change) and then camping up at the summit of the track for the night, well about 9pm Ethan woke up vomiting so it was a hasty retreat out of the bush in the dark, to get down to a friends place where we got all cleaned up, and spent the night. It was a tummy bug that I had come down with on the thursday night but as it didnt last very long thought it might of just been something I ate, But no, John ened up coming home on monday form work with it, Grandad (brian) came down with it tuesday, Dominic ended up catching it as well as his mummy and daddy. In otherwords it was very contagious. But we are all over it now.
Ethan has also started walking a little, took his first steps the weekend he got sick, then refused to walk the following week but is now standing very well unsupported and takes about 4-5 steps at a time... my clever boy.
